An Adirondack Artform

Uncle Kent has been studying the art of Basket Weaving for the last couple years and he is inviting a small group of folks to join him on this retreat where he will share some of his knowledge! This retreat will take place in Chi Rho House where you will spend two days learning the skills and putting them into practice by weaving your very own “Penobscot style” Basket. This is a perfect way to start your Advent Season!

The retreat begins at 4pm on Friday, December 1st and concludes at 11:00am on Sunday, December 3rd.

Simple, nutritious meals will be provided. If you have unique food restrictions, you are encouraged to bring your own food to supplement. There is a refrigerator that can be used if necessary.

This year we will be making our very own “Penobscot Baskets.” These baskets are perfect for your trip to the Farmers Market or up the road to grab a few items. The cloth handles will slide over your shoulders as those near you wonder where you bought that beautiful basket!

The cost is $350 - private room; shared room - $230 (this includes meals, two nights lodging, and materials for your basket)
