Yesterday’s Camp in Today’s World

Our “Me and You” Mini-Week is designed for a parent, grandparent, or other significant adult to accompany one or more children 1st-4th grade. Kids and adults will stay together, share daily camp life and participate in the many activities led by Fowler’s summer staff. This is a great way to create new and lasting memories. The cost is $200 per person.

Una Tierra weeks are easily our most popular. These all-ages weeks are designed so families can send all their children to Camp at the same time. Campers are split into cabins based on age group and enjoy age-appropriate programs, but many activities also take place together. Una Tierra weeks offer all campers a classic Camp adventure. What’s not to love?

This week is for campers who love to be outside! We believe the wilderness is the best playground and we make the most of it! Each day, campers will choose from a variety of day trips: from hiking, paddling, or sailing to the various corners of the Adirondacks. There’s too much in the Adirondacks to explore in one week, but that doesn’t mean we won’t try!

Triple A is our only week just for High Schoolers. It’s everything you might want in a week of Camp. Late nights and early mornings mean we can pack in as many adventures as possible. Stargazing, campfires, and the chance to connect with new friends and old are sure to make for a week you won’t forget! Grab your friends and register now-this week will fill up quickly!

No sailing experience is necessary for this trip because we’ll teach you everything you need to know! You’ll base out of the Wilderness Area where you’ll sleep in one of Fowler’s log lean tos and cook most of your own food. You’ll spend your days learning and testing your sailing skills on Sacandaga Lake, maybe even sailing across the lake for an overnight adventure. Anchors aweigh! We have one sailing week for campers in grades 7-9 and one for grades 9-12.

Exclusively for campers coming out of fifth or sixth grade, ADK Wild is the perfect way to introduce young people to the wilderness and keep them coming back. You will base out of the Wilderness Area at Camp Fowler, sleeping in log lean tos, cooking all your own food, and building tons of campfires. You’ll spend your days canoeing, exploring, and learning essential wilderness skills. You’ll end your week with an awesome camping overnight!

Paths and Paddles are some of our most popular trips! You will embark on a five day trip: half the days will be spent canoeing and the other half you'll be backpacking. What a wonderful way to experience the joys and challenges of both of these activities! You’ll paddle through rivers and lakes before trading your paddles for boots to try your hand at hiking some of the Adirondack’s most beautiful trails. This is a great introductory trip for any first time wilderness campers!

Any canoeing adventure gets a little more interesting when you bring along a fishing pole! Experience the beauty and adventure of a northcountry canoe trip and maybe catch some fish along the way! This trip will take a group of 8 paddlers through the Long Lake and Raquette River, a classic Adirondack route that showcases the true beauty of remote wilderness - plus there are tons of good swimming spots along the way! No fishing experience or equipment necessary!

Spend a week of your summer on a backpacking adventure! Head up to the High Peaks Wilderness Area where the days are long and the mountains are waiting. You’ll spend five days backpacking and climbing High Peaks and you’ll quickly bond with your small community of adventures. You’ll sleep in lean-tos, cook near rivers, and gaze out at the Adirondack wilderness together. Due to group size restrictions, this trip is limited to 6 campers ready for an adventure!

This trip is reserved only for our high school campers, many of whom have taken one or more wilderness trips before! The joy of skimming across Adirondack Lakes in kayaks is one to be remembered for a lifetime. Your route will take you north of the Saranac Lakes through the Adirondack's most wild and beautiful canoe area. Group sizes are limited because of the backcountry regulations in the St. Regis Canoe Area, so this trip will be limited to just 6 campers.

This is a great introductory week for campers who want to experience the fun and beauty of a backpacking trip. You’ll carry everything you need on your back, which will allow you to travel by foot to some of the most beautiful and remote corners of the Adirondacks. You’ll spend your days walking with a tight-knit group of friends and you’ll spend your evenings swimming in rivers and lakes and cozying up around a campfire. It doesn’t get better!
